Supporting passionate talented women to make space in their lives for themselves

Why do your therapy with me?

I’m a warm, supportive, kind and creative woman offering you space to be with yourself on a regular and consistent basis. My way of working combines many different threads and ideas and I invite you to connect with yourself and notice how you feel as much as well as think. This really matters as we are often taught to rely on our brains at the cost of our feelings. When we fail to connect with our physical experience we miss a great deal of useful information.

In our sessions together we will explore your feelings, thoughts, challenges or delights. You’ll have the space and time to work through any aspect of your life that interests you including relationships, home-life, work, creativity and more. You might like to formulate actions and/or practice new ways of being. In therapy whatever you bring is grist for the mill and offers rich discussion.

How it works…

We meet online or in person in a gorgeous barn in a small village near Wallingford and talk. I’ll listen carefully, making space for you to bring whatever you like. I’ll ask questions that help you deepen your exploration and also reflect with you. I can also share techniques and information that I think will help you gain understanding and skills to live in a way that feels satisfying.

Sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly.

How you live each day is how you live your life…

The patterns and habits we all develop as a way of managing in difficult times can get in our way and yet be hard to shift. They can stop us achieving the things we want and lead to us feeling dissatisfied with our life.

You’ve already taking an important step because you’re reading this - perhaps you’ve noticed that you’re not feeling great? Maybe you want something more and are considering exploring that? Therapy can offer the time and space you need to reflect, away from the pressures of life and free from judgement.

When we work together I’ll help you notice yourself both emotionally and physically. This can lead to you feeling happier, more grounded and ultimately more satisfied with your life.

Life changing skills

One of the things I notice in my work with women is how difficult it can be for us to set boundaries and hold them and to manage or express our anger.

When we can set boundaries clearly and kindly everything improves; we know how to make space for what we want and no longer feel compelled to say ‘yes’ when we mean ‘no’. This is life-changing.

Knowing that your anger is permissible is also life-changing. So many of us were taught to be ‘nice’ when, in fact, our job in my view is to be authentic and real. To do this we need to express our anger safely. Bottled up anger creates depression and physical symptoms, causes relationship problems and squashes creativity. Knowing that your anger can be harnessed and used creatively is also life-changing.
